The BMW has a special performance version, limited edition, the BMW 3 Series sedan, the BMW 320si.
Equipped with the M Sports Package and 18-inch wheels with the same version of the design competition, this model has a special propeller 2 liter four-cylinder at high regimes that develops a maximum power of 127 kW/173 hp at 7000 rpm. This power provides a maximum speed of 225 km / h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in just 8.1 seconds.
In addition to a sports suspension layout, the M Sports Package, standard on this special model includes the aerodynamic package BMW with modified bumpers and skirts, sports seats, M leather steering wheel, M footrest, fog and interior aluminum.
The rims 216, characterized by a radial pattern, 8-inch wide front and 8.5 inches behind, put on display the BMW Motorsport logo, the same cars participating in the FIA WTCC.

The cylinder head represents an entirely new development, with the rough castings from the foundry of Formula 1 of the BMW plant in Landshut. The high compression ratio from 10.5 to 11,0:1 helps increase the power of 17 kW/23 hp compared to the normal model, while the engine always uses super unleaded petrol at 95 octane, just like the version " standard ".
The technology of Formula 1 can be found and admired in other engine components such as rocker arms coated in a special process developed specifically for the BMW engines of Formula 1.
The four-cylinder mounted on the new special model reaches its maximum output of 127 kW/173 hp at 7000 rpm with arrangements limited to 7300 rpm. Thanks to the intake system with intake manifold (DISA) a variable length and variable adjustment of the camshafts, torque is raised to a maximum of 200 Nm at 4250 rpm.
To take account of the high temperatures typical of motor sport, specialists of the BMW engines have focused in particular on the movement of the liquid cooling, enhanced by large sections in the cylinder head. The radiator in the six-cylinder models, in turn, ensures a good balance of temperatures at all times.
The lid of the cylinder head made of special carbon fibers, reducing the weight of about 10 kg compared to the BMW 320i. Putting on display its qualities already at first glance, the cover of the cylinder head not only shows a direct connection with motor sport, but also lowers the center of gravity of the engine by reducing the weight at the top.
The propellers are largely hand-built by specialists in the establishment of the engines of BMW Hams Hall, from where they are shipped directly in the assembly plant of BMW Monaco. BMW 320si is available only in Europe, driving is on the left and right.
The manual six-speed BMW 320si is reported so as to enable the BMW 320si to reach the maximum speed of 225 km / h in sixth gear. With weight of 1,350 kg (DIN), this sports sedan performance accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 8.1 seconds. The recovery from 80 to 120 km / h in fourth gear, in turn, requires not more than 7.7 seconds. Finally, it's almost understood that the BMW 320si meet all Euro 4 anti-pollution regulations on emissions and consumes just 8.9 litres/100 km in combined.
